pawenn summary of 13 Google reviews from October 2024 – October 2026
Long-standing clients praise Dr. Lucio Mele for his warmth, dedication, and patient demeanor with pets. In contrast, several sharply critical reviews allege clinical superficiality, reluctance to involve outside specialists, and delayed responses in severe emergencies, leading to divided overall experiences.
Several pet owners report successful surgical recoveries and timely treatments for complex urinary or renal conditions. Conversely, other reviews describe postoperative spay complications and misdiagnosed pathologies that deteriorated rapidly, resulting in conflicting assessments of treatment efficacy.
Most visitors highlight the gentle and calm manner in which the veterinarian interacts with domestic pets, including fearful cats and larger dog breeds. Pet parents emphasize that animals generally remain calm during routine consultations, checkups, and standard vaccinations.
The practice primarily treats dogs and cats for routine examinations, vaccinations, and standard care.
Opinions are divided: routine surgeries are performed, but for critical complications several reviewers turned to external emergency hospitals.
The clinic is situated on Via Francesco De Pinedo in the San Pietro a Patierno district, near Capodichino.
